As Centre for Disability Development Research Law and Policy (CDDRLP) wish to congratulate his Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia Mr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu for the honour of Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Law by the University of Zambia senate which has been awarded through following Internationally accepted procedure as provided in University Charter.

As a centre we now appeal that His Excellency the President to immediately start using the title of Doctor to add meaning to this important gesture and honour to the University Senate and the people of Zambia who have supported University decision.

As the appreciate the President decision not to be called Dr. Lungu but as a public servant and a leader it will be in the best interest to accept that he should be addressed as Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu as like Dr. Kenneth D. Kaunda, Dr Fredrick T.J Chiluba and Dr. Levy Patrick Mwanawasa Sc.
